Oven Conveyor Installation
	Note: Although specifically written to aid in the installation of Conveyor Style T457, due to its synthetic coil seam, this basic procedure also applies to Conveyor Styles: Spiralflex-79, US1590, US2000, 1335A, & 8308. Styles US1590, US2000 and 8308 may also come with metal alligator or clipper seams. These seams also use a pintle, but metal instead of mono-filament. The T-457 Conveyor has a high temperature, synthetic seam, joined via a "joining pintle" as follows: · Remove the conveyor from its package and proceed in one of the following two manners: 1. Pull the conveyor onto the machine using the "hook protector" (the hook protector is a fabric piece, usually light in color, attached to the conveyor) attached to one end of the old conveyor or, 2. If the conveyor is equipped with a leader that has grommets, attach the grommets via twine to the old conveyor. Run the machine and allow the old conveyor to pull the new conveyor through the machine. 3. Once the new conveyor is pulled onto the machine, mesh the seam loops/hooks with the arrows properly aligned. · Thread the "joining pintles" through the loops/hooks. If the seam has very small loops, the "joining pintle" can be threaded through the loops/hooks with the attached metal leader in 1 - 2 foot (305 - 710mm) sections. · Once the seam is joined, cut off all excess pintle except for 1" (25.4mm) at each edge. Re-thread this excess between the end of the leading loops/hooks and the trailing end of the fabric. This will protect the edge loops/hooks from coming off the pintle and will prevent the pintle from being snagged on the sides of the machine. · NOTE: Be sure to remove the metal leader from the seam. This leader is solely to help thread the mono-filament pintle through the conveyor. If left in the seam as the operating pintle, it will cause undue wear on the mono-filament fibers and thus, premature failure. We welcome your questions and/or comments.
